澳門大橋落成典禮於10月1日上午在北安治安警察局總部大樓旁舉行，行政長官賀一誠出席並致辭。他表示，今年是中華人民共和國成立75周年，也是澳門特別行政區成立25周年，今天國慶之日舉行大橋落成典禮，具有特別的意義。澳門大橋自2020年3月動工，至今正式開通，成為連接澳門半島和氹仔的第四條跨海大橋，這是一項居民期盼已久的標誌性民生工程，並為雙慶之年獻上一份厚禮。
賀一誠強調，澳門大橋的建成進一步完善了澳門的交通網絡，不僅為市民和旅客提供便捷出行條件，還有助於推動澳門作為世界旅遊休閒中心的建設。特區政府將繼續善用中央對澳門的支持和資源，推動有利澳門長遠發展的基礎設施建設，進一步提升城市競爭力，講好「一國兩制」的成功故事。
澳門大橋起自新城A區，連接港珠澳大橋口岸人工島，跨越外港航道至新城E1區，全長約3.1公里，跨海段長2.9公里，設有雙向八車道及電單車專用道，是一項具重要戰略意義的交通工程。
The inauguration ceremony of the Macau Bridge was held on the morning of October 1, near the Public Security Police Headquarters in Pac On. Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng attended and delivered a speech. He remarked that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macau Special Administrative Region. Holding the inauguration ceremony of the Macau Bridge on this National Day is particularly significant. The bridge, which began construction in March 2020 and is now officially open, is the fourth cross-sea bridge connecting the Macau Peninsula and Taipa. It is a landmark project eagerly awaited by residents and a meaningful gift in celebration of this dual anniversary.
Ho Iat Seng emphasized that the completion of the Macau Bridge further improves Macau’s transportation network, providing more convenient travel options for residents and tourists. Additionally, it supports Macau’s development as a world center of tourism and leisure. The government will continue to leverage the central government’s support and resources, pushing forward infrastructure projects that benefit Macau’s long-term growth, enhancing the city’s competitiveness, and showcasing the success of the “One Country, Two Systems” principle.
The Macau Bridge starts from New Urban Zone A, connecting with the artificial island at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port. It spans the Outer Harbor Channel to New Urban Zone E1, with a total length of approximately 3.1 kilometers, including a 2.9-kilometer cross-sea section. The bridge features dual eight-lane roads and dedicated motorcycle lanes, making it a significant transportation project of strategic importance.
